Peak time is not a fixed schedule. It moves by hours when your kitchen moves by a few degrees, which is why the starter that was ready by lunch in August needs until bedtime in November.

Krumo learns how your starter behaves. Log a feed, mark the peak when it domes, and after three marked peaks it fits a curve to your starter and your kitchen. From then on it tells you when the window opens, and reminds you shortly before it does.

What it does

• Live starter status, with the time left before the window
• A temperature curve fitted to your own log
• Reminders placed by that curve, not by a fixed alarm
• Levain timing worked backwards from when you want to mix
• A bake log in baker's percentages, with true hydration
• A bake card worth posting, with the numbers already on it
